Haytham’s group and some tribes in the area ambush the “aliens” and Haytham assassinates Braddock.
Haytham finds her and she tells him that she knows where the door of the “Great Temple” is and that she will only show him if she helps him drive out the “foreigners”, commanded by a man they call “The Bulldog” ( Braddock). Lee and Haytham travel to the town of Lexington, where the Mohawk woman has been seen. The group decides to go to Fort Southgate, Church finishes off Silas and Haytham frees the prisoners, including a Mohawk girl named Ziio. They finally meet at the Green Dragon Tavern, where Johnson tells them that the amulet Haytham had brought is in the style of a Mohawk tribe, to which Silas Thatcher is enslaved. Together they gather the other men on the list, William Johnson, John Pitcairn, Benjamin Church, whom they save before he is killed by a slaver’s thug named “Cutter” and an old friend of Haytham’s, Edward Braddock. Haytham is greeted in Boston by one of the men on the list, Charles Lee. Reginald Birch, a man from London and a friend of Haytham, discovers that “The Great Temple” from “Those Who Came Before” is in New York State, so he sends Haytham to New England to meet other fellow Order members. There he murders a man and steals an amulet. In 1751, Haytham Kenway entered the Royal Theater in London to perform the Beggar’s Opera.
Shortly after his arrival, Juno appears to show Desmond moments in the life of a new ancestor, Haytham Kenway. Desmond and his companions, locate and arrive at the vault of the precursors, place that Jupiter showed Desmond during his coma They enter a long-closed crypt, the “Great Temple”, chosen by the first civilization as a storehouse to store their knowledge. The story is the direct continuation of the previous installment.
